OFA Pledge Project

When we met on December 15th everyone at that meeting indicated that they wanted to stay involved by helping to promote President Obama’s agenda – well here is the first official ask!

“A budget is more than simply numbers on a page. It is a measure of how well we are living up to our obligations to ourselves and one another. It is a test for our commitment to making America what it was always meant to be — a place where all things are possible for all people. ” – President Barack Obama

President Obama recently submitted his first budget and this bold plan is needed now more than ever as we continue to face an unprecedented economic crisis.  Now it’s up to us to organize the support President Obama needs for this plan throughout the country.

Please join one of the below listed Pledge Project events and ask our neighbors to take a pledge of support for President Obama’s bold approach to renew America’s economy and invest in energy, health care, and education.Check out this Washington Post article about this project:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/15/AR2009031501350.html

February 25, 2009 Update

February 25, 2009 in Update | Comments (0)

Last night President Obama gave an awesome speech to Congress and the people of the United States! It was very clear last night that President Obama was speaking to the people and calling on the people of this country – us – to step up and help take on some of the responsibility of getting it done (just like during the campaign). It was the support of the grassroots that got President Obama elected and it will be the support of the grassroots again that will help him get things done while in office. This is why Organizing for America has been formed and this is why we need to stay in touch and stay active. You all rock!
