August 7, 2009 Update
Sacramento for Obama – Organizing for America members there are critical issues in front of the American people right now, you know that. The economy is still struggling, the health care fight is on, and on and on. The time is now to step it up and step into action. Everyone worked very hard during the campaign, many to the point of burnout – we know. But, if there was ever a time to get back involved or get involved for the first time that time is now. We cannot allow special interests to be the face of our country because they are not. Those faces are yours as are the voices and those faces and voices must be seen and heard. Bookmark this web address so that you can easily check on upcoming meetings and events in the greater Sacramento area to support our President:

Camp “O” is Back!
Yes, Camp Obama is back! The organizing tool that was instrumental is catapulting Barack Obama to the Presidency. Now it is your chance to join the movement and be a part of the change you want to see! “Camp Obama” was created by veteran political and community organizers to train activists in effective organizing techniques. During the campaign we ran “Camp Obama” training sessions all around the country.

Congressional District 3
Many of you have expressed an interest in electing a Democrat to the 3rd Congressional District seat (it is currently occupied by Dan Lungren). But, a lot of you perceive it as being a difficult win for a Democrat. Well we are glad to let you know that this is a targeted race, that that are very strong feelings that we can take this seat from Dan Lungren. Here is the link to an article from the Sacramento Bee about the race:
